Kyle Headrick of Hesston Named 2005 KRWA Municipal Wastewater Operator of the Year

In keeping with the Association’s award criteria of sustaining the community, Kyle Headrick has achieved this goal many times over. Involvement in the business of the collection of a city’s wastewater and returning it to the environment ensuring the safety of the community is a critical endeavor for all communities. “Our largest challenge is continuing to meet the state and federal regulations that enable this to be done on a daily basis,” Headrick explained.

Headrick has worked for the City of Hesston since 1990. In his 16 years with the city he has become very proficient at his job. He holds multiple certifications, that of Class III wastewater operator and that of a Class II water supply system operator. Kyle is also certified as a master plumber, which comes in handy working where he does. He is considered by the Hesston City Administration as an invaluable asset to the city.
