It's Double Trouble --
Following Awards, Wednesday, 3/27. Hilarious Hollywood high jinks take the stage when Stage One presents.
In this madcap musical comedy set in 1940s Hollywood, songwriters Jimmy and
Bobby Martin have just one day to write the big number for MGM Studio's new
movie musical. Irresistible songs are matched with a hilarious script in this
musical send-up that will leave your head spinning and your sides splitting!
DOUBLE TROUBLE has book, music and lyrics by the fraternal writing team of
brothers Bob and Jim Walton, who will also star in the show.
As an actor in New York, Bob Walton has appeared in Once Upon A Mattress, Show
Boat, City of Angels, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. He is the
co-author of the recent off-Broadway play GAME SHOW, and also wrote the theme
song and incidental music for that piece. Jim Walton appeared on Broadway in Sweeney Todd (revival),
Merrily We Roll Along and 42nd Street, and recently stood by for the title role
in the Broadway revival of The Music Man. They previously appeared together in
The Encores! concert of The Ziegfeld Follies of 1936.
