South Central Kansas Meter Order
of January 19, 2007

The Chief Engineer of the Division of Water Resources - Kansas Department of Agriculture (DWR), issued an order on January 19, 2007, that all non-domestic wells and pumpsites in a large area of South Central Kansas be installed with acceptable water flow meters. The map below shows the area affected by this order.

For non-domestic wells and pumpsites that already have an acceptable meter installed, a signed Notice of Completion must be submitted to DWR by December 31, 2007.

For non-domestic wells and pumpsites located in the North Half of a legal section that do not have a meter installed, the installation shall be completed by December 31, 2007, and a signed Notice of Completion must be submitted to DWR within 30 days.

For non-domestic wells and pumpsites located in the South Half of a legal section that do not have a meter installed, the installation shall be completed by December 31, 2008, and a signed Notice of Completion must be submitted to DWR within 30 days.
